Juventus are holding advanced talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee . The move would also include a £30million option to buy for the Italian outfit.
The striker has been strongly linked with an Old Trafford departure this summer, but is keen to secure a place in Michael Carrick's plans. The Dutchman has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter during his time in with the Red Devils - unable to break into Ruben Amorim's plans or Carrick's since joining the club under Erik ten Hag in 2024.
The 25-year-old has netted just five goals in 56 Premier League outings for United . The Red Devils are said to be receptive to Zirkzee's departure this summer, though the former Bayern Munich prospect is understood to be happy to stay.
It is suggested that he feels European football at United in 2026/27 will provide him with greater chances under Carrick. The Netherlands international sought to leave in January but was informed by United that it would not be feasible.
Nevertheless, The Sun now suggest a transfer could be possible with Serie A club Juve in advanced negotiations. The Turin side appeared poised to capture France international Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain following his underwhelming loan stint with Tottenham Hotspur last season.
However, Juventus have reportedly failed to reach an agreement on a fee with PSG after talks broke down. It is understood that the Italian club have swiftly turned their attention to Zirkzee as they seek a new frontman.
Juventus are said to be the most serious suitors for Zirkzee, though Roma have also harboured a long-standing interest in the striker. Luciano Spalletti's outfit are reportedly the frontrunners for his signature, having moved considerably quicker in negotiations.

Zirkzee is no stranger to Italian football, having spent one season on loan at Parma and two seasons turning out for Bologna. The Dutchman is understood to view Serie A as a far more suitable tactical environment for his style of play.
It is claimed that Zirkzee's camp have responded favourably to Juventus's advances. United are also reportedly prepared to sanction a loan deal with a £30m purchase option, despite having splashed around £36.5m to bring him to the club two years ago.
The report further states that club officials acknowledge the fee is a reasonable reflection of his worth, given his inability to produce consistent performances.
Zirkzee caught the eye in United's 5-0 pre-season victory over Rosenborg last Friday. Yet his showings in the Premier League have left much to be desired.
