Italian giants keen on move for Manchester United star
Juventus Push for Randal Kolo Muani as Joshua Zirkzee Interest Grows
Juventus are moving into a potentially decisive phase of their striker search, with Randal Kolo Muani and Joshua Zirkzee emerging as the two central names in plans to reshape the forward line before the new season. According to GAZZETTA.IT, the next 24 to 48 hours could be significant in discussions involving Paris Saint-Germain and Kolo Muani, while work is also under way on a separate track for Manchester United forward Zirkzee.
There is a clear sense of urgency around Juventus. The club want attacking reinforcements in place quickly, especially with upcoming fixtures in China and Australia approaching. Internally, the idea appears to be more expansive than simply solving one problem. Rather than landing a single centre-forward, Juventus are exploring whether they can secure two profiles who offer different strengths and give Luciano Spalletti more variety across the frontline.

Kolo Muani is viewed as the immediate priority. Juventus have been in contact with PSG and, while there is understandable caution after previous negotiations between the clubs became complicated, there is growing belief that a compromise may be possible. PSG’s valuation is said to be around £50 million, while Juventus are trying to structure a deal closer to £40 million including bonuses, with a loan and a conditional obligation to buy linked to European qualification next summer.
That gap remains important, but so does the willingness on all sides to keep talking. From Juventus’ perspective, the deal makes sense because Kolo Muani is already familiar with the environment and has previously shown he can produce in Italy. From the player’s side, his preference has reportedly remained strong. GAZZETTA.IT states he has turned down other options as he waits to see whether Juventus can reach an agreement with PSG.
There is also context at PSG that may help. Kolo Muani is no longer considered part of Luis Enrique’s plans and his current situation points firmly towards another departure. Juventus know that can create leverage, even if the French club remain determined to protect value on a player they still rate highly. The next two days, therefore, feel important because this is the stage when negotiations either narrow towards an agreement or drift into a longer stand-off.
Kolo Muani Deal Structure in Focus
The most interesting element is the structure Juventus are trying to put in place. Rather than meeting PSG’s demands outright, they are pushing for a formula that spreads the cost and lowers immediate risk. A conditional obligation based on European qualification would give Juventus breathing space and align the transfer fee with performance outcomes. In the current market, that sort of creativity is often the difference between a realistic deal and an impossible one.
It also reflects a wider trend among major clubs, especially those trying to improve quickly without overcommitting early in the window. Juventus want quality, but they also want flexibility. Kolo Muani, with pace, movement and previous Serie A output, fits the footballing requirement. The financial challenge is finding a middle ground PSG can accept.
Joshua Zirkzee Remains Live Option
Zirkzee is not merely a fallback. The reporting suggests Juventus would ideally like to add him as well as Kolo Muani, giving Spalletti both a runner in behind and a forward more comfortable linking play between midfield and attack. On paper, it is an attractive pairing, with enough tactical overlap to rotate and enough stylistic difference to complement each other.

Juventus have already made checks with Manchester United and the player’s camp. Zirkzee is understood to be available under the right conditions, even if any move would require careful negotiation. Juventus are thought to favour a loan with conditions attached, similar in concept to other high-level temporary deals seen in recent windows.
For Manchester United, this is one to watch. Zirkzee arrived with promise and technical pedigree, but when a club of Juventus’ stature starts exploring terms, it usually indicates there is a belief an opening exists. Whether that becomes a genuine exit route may depend on United’s own attacking plans later in the market and the player’s appetite for a return to Serie A, where his reputation remains strong after Bologna.
Manchester United Transfer Angle Worth Watching
There is still another name in the background, Mateo Pellegrino, though that appears a more difficult deal at present given Parma’s valuation. For now, the headline remains Juventus’ attempt to land one major striker quickly and possibly another before the window closes.
From a broader transfer perspective, this has all the hallmarks of a negotiation that could accelerate suddenly. Juventus are pushing, PSG are weighing compromise, and Manchester United are indirectly involved through interest in Zirkzee. If Kolo Muani moves first, attention may quickly switch to whether Juventus have the capacity and conviction to test United properly before deadline day.
What stands out most is the ambition. Juventus are not simply looking for cover, they are trying to build a more complete attack. If they can turn that idea into reality, this may become one of the more intriguing striker stories of the market.
Our View
From a hopeful Manchester United perspective, this report creates mixed feelings. Zirkzee is clearly talented, and there is still a strong sense that his best football could be ahead of him. His touch, awareness and ability to connect attacks remain qualities that are hard to find. If he stays, many supporters would still want to see him given a clearer role and a more stable platform to succeed.
At the same time, if Juventus are genuinely serious and the deal is structured well, it may be one United have to consider. There is little value in keeping players on the edge of the squad if the coaching staff do not see them as central to the project. A smart loan with conditions, or a move that protects long-term value, could suit everyone if it opens space for the club to reshape the attack more decisively.
Supporters would probably hope United stay firm on terms. Juventus are experienced operators in this type of market and United cannot afford another deal that looks convenient in the short term but weakens their position later. If Zirkzee goes, fans will want clarity, proper compensation and a replacement plan. If he stays, they will want commitment and a genuine pathway for him to prove he belongs at Old Trafford.
