🎥 Liverpool's new era off to winning start with victory over Sunderland

The Andoni Iraola era at Liverpool is off to a winning start after a 4-2 victory over Sunderland on Saturday to kick off their pre-season campaign.

The Reds started off on a frustrating note when Joe Gomez was forced off injured within only seven minutes.

However, the early substitution didn't generate any concern for teammates.

Minutes after the injury, Harvey Elliott teed up Kieran Morrison for the opener after a swift move from the back.

Sunderland later equalized and then went ahead 2-1 just after the start of the second half.

Yet, the trademark efforts of Dominik Szoboszlai saw Liverpool level from range.

After that, Federico Chiesa finished from a tight angle to give Iraola's side the lead before a goal from Lewis Koumas eventually wrapped up the showing.

Up and running!
