Probable England XI for Argentina clash as Tuchel could keep faith with defence

Thomas Tuchel could be tempted to keep the same back line to face
Argentina.
England
boss Tuchel has tinkered with his back four throughout the tournament but they defended well in the quarter-final win over
Norway
.
That will play into his thinking for the semi-final with
Argentina
as they look to shut out
Lionel Messi
and Co in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Ezri Konsa switched to right-back with
John Stones
and Marc Guehi forming a strong partnership in centra defence.
Stones impressed Tuchel with the way he read the game, kept possession and showed his quality with his passing out from the back.
That set-up also allowed
Manchester City
defender Nico O’Reilly to roam from left-back and move into midfield.
Reece James
trained fully ahead of the game but is still only just back from a lay-off with a hamstring injury while Djed Spence has been better from the bench.
Jarell Quansah is still suspended while the only player to miss training on Tuesday was
Jordan
Henderson which should confirm that
Declan Rice
is fit to start after illness.
England (probable):
Pickford; Konsa, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Rice, Anderson; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
