Marcus Rashford sends message to Barcelona stars after World Cup triumph

Ex-Barcelona Marcus Rashford has taken to social media, to send a message of congratulations the way of his former Blaugrana teammates.

This of course comes with no fewer than eight members of Hansi Flick’s squad fresh off clinching glory at the World Cup.

En route to Spain besting Argentina this past weekend on international football’s grandest stage, the likes of Pau Cubarsí, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal and match-winner Ferran Torres played starring roles.

Across the length of the tournament, all of Pedri, Gavi and Eric García also contributed, with Joan García having been watching on intently from the bench, too.

Post-match in New York, the Barcelona contingent therefore came together for a series of photos and posts on social media.

And as alluded to above, one such post has since been responded to by a member of Hansi Flick’s attacking ranks from this past season.

After coming across a photo of Lamine, Gavi and Pedri celebrating on Instagram, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford responded with the comment:

‘Barca boys’, accompanied by a ‘loveheart’ emoji.
