The ranking is not determined solely by the number of goals scored; other factors also come into play. At the end of each match, the players who played at least 20 minutes received a score between 0 and 10 for their offensive, creative, and defensive performance.

With this information, a Cumulative Performance Ranking in the competition was compiled, in which each player's performance throughout the tournament was analyzed and an individual score was awarded in each category, as detailed by FIFA.

In this way, footballers with fewer matches played managed to rank above other forwards with more experience in the tournament thanks to their efficiency and output when they were on the field.

The one who was ranked in first place was the 27-year-old Frenchman, Kylian Mbappé, with 9.11 points in attack, 7.83 in creativity, and 4.02 in defense. In addition, Kylian not only established himself as the top scorer of this edition of the tournament with his 10 goals, but also brought his total to 22, making him the all-time top scorer in World Cups.

In second place is Jude Bellingham with 8.29 in attack, 6.48 in creativity, and 5.45 in defense. Lionel Messi rounds out the Top 3, with 8.05, 8.25, and 4.55 respectively.
