Ernest Poku attracting Premier League interest from Sunderland and Nottingham Forest

According to BuLi News, AFC Sunderland and Nottingham Forest are being linked with Bayer Leverkusen winger Ernest Poku, who could depart after only one season. Leverkusen are open to a sale, and an offer of €25 million is expected to close a deal.

Poku joined from AZ Alkmaar for €10 million last summer. The Dutch U21 international scored five goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances as Leverkusen missed out on Champions League qualification.

Leverkusen sold fellow winger Amine Adli to Premier League side Bournemouth last year.

Sunderland qualified for the Europa League in their first season back in the Premier League, putting them in the same competition as Leverkusen.

Nottingham Forest received over €100 million from the transfer of English international Elliott Anderson to Manchester City.
