It is understood that no contact has been made between the clubs as of yet but the Arsenal hierarchy are happy to pursue the potential transfer.

This news comes just days after Arsenal made enquiries to sign the 19-year-old after his impressive debut season in Germany. Diomande's performance for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup also bolstered his valuation but it looks like Real are the ones pushing forward.
It's understood that their first bid was an initial £76.9m plus £8.5m in add-ons. Now, the Spanish giants are set to put in an improved offer and are confident of landing the winger.

Arsenal have joined Chelsea in considering a shock move for Tottenham's Cristian Romero. Reports in Italy claim that both London rivals are interested in the defender, who is available for £42m.
While a move across north London seems unlikely, Arsenal are on the lookout for another defender with William Saliba sidelined due to a back issue. Romero is contracted at Spurs until 2029 but there is an expectation that he will depart the club this summer.
