6 transfers Arsenal can complete this week including electric attacking arrivals

Arsenal are continuing their pursuit of a number of targets to bolster their squad for the 2026/27 season

Arsenal could welcome three new faces to the Emirates Stadium before the week is out. The Gunners have already secured Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier and Christos Tzolis so far.

Hincapie made his loan deal permanent after a Premier League-winning first season, joining from Bayer Leverkusen for £34.5million. Next up was Meslier on a free transfer from Leeds United to strengthen the goalkeeping department.

Tzolis was confirmed last week in a £34m deal from Club Brugge and now Mikel Arteta has his sights set on more new arrivals. With just £68.5m spent so far, the Gunners boss will want to act fast to confirm their top targets.

Arsenal will also plan to transfer some players out of the existing squad to make room for new faces. A number of stars have been linked with exits so far including veteran striker Gabriel Jesus.

Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal's pursuit of Bruno Guimaraes has been an ongoing situation this summer. The midfielder has told Newcastle that he wants to join the Gunners but no club-to-club contact has been made yet.

It is understood that personal terms have been agreed and an offer of £70million is on the table. However, the Magpies are reluctant to allow their captain to leave for anything less than £80m having already watched Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali depart.

Getting this deal done quickly would allow Arteta to focus on other targets across the squad.

Vini Jr

Vinicius Jr has become the latest name to be linked with Arsenal. The Real Madrid winger is in the last 12 months of his contract and the club would be open to selling should they not secure an extension.

The Gunners have a strong interest in the 26-year-old and have agreed the deal in-house. Negotiations are yet to begin but Vini's contract demands could be a sticking point.

The Brazil international wants £25m (€30m) each season to match that of Kylian Mbappe and is said to be a reason why extension talks stalled. Arteta could offer Vini what he wants and add a Champions League regular - and two-time winner - to their flank.

Julian Alvarez

Julian Alvarez has been a long-term target for Arsenal and one that could be difficult to navigate. Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in Viktor Gyokeres and could consider a swap deal plus cash for the Argentina international.

beIN Sports reports that both clubs could agree on a £85m player-plus-cash offer involving Gyokeres. This is a hefty sum, but something that could be worth it given Alvarez's 49-goal return in two seasons for Atleti.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has been linked with an exit with just 12 months remaining on his contract. Jesus is one of the top earners and his lack of game time fails to justify his high salary.

The Athletic reports that Arteta wants at least £18m for Jesus with AC Milan interested. Reports in Italy suggest that a deal could be done for around £16m with the Serie A side initiating contact.

Fabio Viera

Fabio Viera is already nearing a departure with Hamburg keen to secure his services on a permanent basis. The midfielder spent last season on loan in Germany and found success, making 13 goal contributions in 31 games.

Sky Germany claim that the player is "hoping" an agreement is imminent and he prefers a move back to the Bundesliga. It is understood that the 26-year-old is training for pre-season with Arsenal but talks continue over an exit.

Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson could hand Andrea Berta a welcome financial boost if he leaves this summer, thanks to his homegrown status. Selling the striker would represent pure profit for Arsenal and improve their PSR position in the Premier League.

Nelson spent the last campaign on loan to Brentford but injuries limited him to just 14 appearances. The Bees had the option to make the move permanent but the lack of game time meant that they chose not to take up that offer.

The 26-year-old has one year left on his deal and BBC Sport claim that Fulham, Benfica and Valencia are among those interested.
